Day 17--that's great to see. One of the first things that I learned about Afghanistan was that they produced a lot of different crops before the fields and orchards were destroyed in all these wars/invasions/conflicts--pomegrante orchards, for instance, which was surprising to me because Afghanistan and Iraq get put into the same box by the media, the big and dusty sand box where nothing grows. I'm excited to see Afghanistan flourish in this way, to see that new growth.
