Tidbits
JP theirs nothing really eventful about them, I've had them before all they are are chunked up pinnapple floating in juice. Personally I hate getting pinnapple tidbits in my IMPs, but if you like pinnapple then you won't really complain about it.

pineapple tidbits
I was really intrigued by the pineapple tidbits and was a bit bummed you didnt show us non-canucks what that was exactly.

ps. this is really inspiring and insightful work. hope your documentary gets a lot of coverage as it's the most unbiased and objective footage i've seen come out of afghanistan. hope you guys dont mind me sharing your work with my foreign policy class. thanks for the awesome work!

Still laughing at the IMP reaction
Ken, I'm still laughing at this video, just your reaction after the first spoonful killed me. I laugh at it everytime I watch it. It probably would have been different if you had a pot of boiling water available and actually got to heat it up.

Home Base
Betsey,

This has been one heck of a journey. I miss my wife and kids tremendously but they support me and I know this project is making at least a small difference. Really....my wife is the one making the real sacrifice. Two little boys that unfortunately take after Daddy sometimes! smilies/smiley.gif Home station? I'm out of Randolph AFB. Thanks for watching.

IMP
Thanks for the comments! Dylan- Sure didn't! smilies/wink.gif 173rd- Yeah...I actually don't like clam chowder as a rule which was why I went for it. I thought I would go all out, but was surprised that it wasn't half-bad.

Not bad but...
...probably more important issues to cover but a good human-interest topic, I guess. Why would we need a TGIF or any other restaurant when those military cooks can do just as good! You gotta love that Canadian accent, eh?

The Clam Chowder
Ken, it was great to see you paratrooper-I mean_airman up and sample the cold chowder. As I watched you eat it, I sat here thinking the man is just SO thankful it's Clam Chowder as opposed to cold liver and onions with Brussle sprouts. If it had been liver, I would have had to respectfully decline the offer.

IMP's
That gave me a serious laugh! Despite the different packaging, the white spoon (where is that good old brown spoon we get?!), and the lack of a heater element... thanks for showing those who have never experienced the joy of such rations what it is like.

A survey? Seriously?! Can you imagine our troops getting a hold of surveys for our MRE's?

I'm half Canadian (Mom's side... Vancouver, British Columbia) and so am enjoying getting to see our Canadian forces. Thanks and keep up the good work!

Blessings!

Mike
